Complicated music ? Texture in music production

I’m always checking out what Spitfire Audio' sample librairies has to offer. Each time, Im amazed how they work on the little details. This one is no different. And this video actually helps to ask ourself what makes a good sample library ? Nowadays, composers face the undeniable truth about working with such “technology”. The details, the textures of the instruments recording are more and more important in an effort to “humanize” those computer-based librairies.

“Music dosent need to be complicated to be good.” But what does Good means. Does it equal to be desired or and approuved ? Anyway, this is a good video about the weird question of “complexity” in music. He also talks about the “tone” (the quality of the sound) which can play a huge part in the complexity of the music. And of course, he managed to really sale their new librairie ;)
